The 'Foal at Foot Rug' has been designed with various special design features to make it a safer choice for a mare who is nursing a foal.

Whilst 'no rug' is always the recommended and best choice, there are times that a mare might need rugging due to having no shelter, a lack of facilities, needing supervised turn out during bad weather or having a poor body score. This is where The Foal at Foot Rug can be helpful and is safer than using a standard horse rug.

The special design features include: 

- A cutaway in the udder area so that the foal can easily feed

- Close fit adjustable belly panel with elastication for comfort - avoids entanglement

- Adjustable chest front clips and shoulder gusset

- Very high fillet string which attaches well under the rug to avoid entanglement

- Velcro neck closures compatible with various mainstream brands should you wish to add a neck

The rug has 100gm of polyfill for warmth and is a high denier 1200gm quality fabric so waterproof in heavy rain.
